Stephen Holmes receives nima honour

Stephen Holmes, a volunteer who has contributed extensively to nima since it was originally founded as the UK BIM Alliance in 2016, was announced as the inaugural winner of the nima Outstanding Contribution Award.

The virtual presentation to Stephen was made by nima chairman Anne Kemp during her concluding remarks at the end of the nima Virtual Spring Conference 2024 on 18 April. Anne thanked Stephen for his work with nima’s design community, and for his support for the organisation’s operations and its finances – all managed alongside Stephen’s full time roles with three different employers. Stephen is currently head of information systems at the Exagen Group.

Stephen thanked Anne and the rest of the nima community for the award, and encouraged others to join him as a volunteer, emphasising that the organisation could not function without its support from industry, and saying that volunteering was also immensely rewarding in its own right.

The nima Outstanding Contribution Award will be made annually, with the next winner to be announced in early 2025.
