What do we do?

Information about our environment is key to unlocking the many challenges that we encounter.

At buildingSMART UK & Ireland (bSUKI), we help asset owners and the entire supply chain work more efficiently and collaboratively through the entire project and asset lifecycle, through better interoperability.

We are the UK & Ireland Chapter of buildingSMART International. Other global chapters can be found here.

We are responsible for gathering industry requirements and representing the UK & Ireland’s needs at international level. This is essential when standards are being developed to ensure we are all catered for.

The Four V’s

As a Chapter we are dedicated to ensuring we provide value to the industry; we do this through our Four  V’s.

buildingSMART Rooms & Projects

Throughout their industry engagement, buildingSMART International divide their work into ‘rooms’. They are currently as follows:

bSUKI mirror this arrangement with two room co-leads (where possible) who are practitioners in the sector. Their role is to reach out to industry groups, organisations and individuals to gather industry needs and coordinate responses at an international level.

Please get in touch if you’d like to contribute to any of the rooms, projects or if you have any particular interoperability challenges.
