Nima’s chair and vice chairs, its non-executive directors, ambassadors and volunteers all commit considerable time to coordination of and participation in nima activities. They work extensively with other organisations, including our affiliates and networks, and with nima patrons and supporters.
nima chair
Chair Anne Kemp leads nima, collaborating with the vice-chairs, non-executive directors and other volunteers to define and deliver nima’s strategic objectives, while also liaising with other industry organisations.

Fiona Moore oversees nima’s detailed programme of activities, including finance and operations, and leads the organisation of nima’s virtual conferences.
Simon Lewis focuses on nima’s governance systems and processes, and provides relevant legal support on operational, strategic and policy issues.
Paul Wilkinson leads nima’s communications and events activities, looking to maintain good will and mutual understanding with key audiences.

Mostafa ElAshmawy manages nima’s membership scheme, launched in May 2025, helping to build and maintain the organisation’s connections with its members.

John Hall has a flexible nima portfolio, having been instrumental in strengthening and streamlining nima’s ‘back office’ operational systems.
Sam Hardy is nima vice chair for operations, overseeing the detailed working of nima’s information management systems and processes.
Rachel Heaton manages nima’s patronage programme, helping to build and maintain the organisation’s connections with these key stakeholders.
Stephen Holmes is a long-standing nima volunteer, now working with Rachel Heaton to help nima form strong relationships with new and existing nima patrons.
Emma Hooper provides a focus for nima’s project outputs and, as vice chair of bSUKI, helps maintain the relationship with buildingSMART International.
Dave Peacock is a long-time nima volunteer, and now manages the recruitment and coordination of volunteer inputs to the organisation’s activities and events.
