Richard currently works with Birmingham City University, within their estates department. His new role as BIM Process Manager was produced to lead on the development of the University’s BIM protocols, manage the use of the improved electronic estates database and the production of 3D models for various campuses.

He will be implementing a series of software packages within the department for construction and building maintenance management creating efficiencies to the way the team currently works. The software specifically being looked at is Autodesk BIM 360 Field.

Richard has been fortunate to have worked on a variety of project and has a well rounded experience in bespoke new build design, refurbishment and building condition surveys. He is a very capable CAD user, specialising in 3D modelling and BIM using Revit, and he looks to continue this in his future career. Having assisted with the Revit training of colleagues – Richard progressed this to lecturing at university to pass on the valuable skills he has developed.
