Neil Yeomans

Head of Property Safety and Technology, Orbit Housing

Neil Yeomans is the Head of Property Safety and Technology for Orbit. He leads a multi-award winning team and was himself awarded ‘influencer of the year’ by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in 2020. The success of the team is based on a continuous improvement culture which focusses on safe systems that look beyond legal minimum compliance. Neil has authored Orbit’s delivery Strategy to achieve the standards and culture spelled out in the new Building Safety Act and is notoriously happy to talk about Orbit’s progress and willingness to share good practice. Neil has recently been appointed the Chair of the National Housing Federation’s Building Safety National Group, which seeks to help the housing sector to achieve the standards expected by the new Building Safety regime.
