Vote for the Digital Construction Power Players
In May 2025, industry publication Digital Construction Plus launched an informal ranking of the 20 people and organisations who have the most influence and exert the most control over the digital construction sector. As part of “a people’s vote”, it invited readers to send in their nominations – and four of the five latest nominations (read more) are all connected in some way with nima:
- Elaine Lewis, global director business development at Bentley Systems (a nima patron), is a non-executive director of nima
- Fiona Moore is one of nima’s deputy chairs
- Clare Taylor, head of digital delivery at MWH Treatment, is also chair of BIM4Water, one of the self-organising industry networks that work alongside nima, and
- Alison Watson, founder and CEO of Class Of Your Own, is currently president of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, one of nima’s affiliated organisations.
Those previously included in the DC+ Power Players include Su Butcher, James Daniel and John Ford (Part 1); nima chair Anne Kemp and vice chair Emma Hooper (Part 2); and (in Part 3) nima ambassador David Philp and Mo Shana’a, CEO of Morta, a nima patron which also provides technology supporting the IMI Framework guidance (news).
DC+ will publish part two of the people’s vote next week and is inviting people to make further nominations. Email the DC+ editor with their name, job title, who they work for and a couple of sentences justifying their position as a Power Player. (And, no, they don’t have to be associated with nima!)
Update (8 August 2025) – DC+‘s latest nominations include nima ambassador Marzia Bolpagni and two of nima’s recently appointed vice chairs, Dave Peacock and Varun Soni.
