Two industry influencers to speak at nima Virtual Conference 2025
The nima Virtual Conference 2025 on Thursday 6 November will feature two influential keynote speakers opening and closing the Main Stage talks.
David Hancock, Construction Director and Infrastructure Practice Lead at NISTA, the
National Infrastructure and Services Transformation Authority, will speak in the first session
of nima’s event, while former Crossrail digital chief, Malcolm Taylor, will provide his
thoughts in the event’s closing address. Together, the two keynotes will explore how strategic vision and practical delivery of the Information Management Initiative (IMI) are shaping the future of the built and managed environment.
David Hancock: Why change?
A joint unit of HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office, NISTA combines the functions of the former National Infrastructure Commission and the Infrastructure and Projects Authority. Hancock will bring a unique and powerful perspective on aligning national strategy with delivery, while drawing on his experience leading the Government Construction Team and in his role as chair for the Government Construction Board for the Cabinet Office and the Infrastructure and Projects Authority.
Malcolm Taylor: How to change?
Taylor will take to nima’s virtual stage to unpack the practicalities of digital strategy and information management. A globally respected advisor, his track record includes leading the technical information delivery for Crossrail and advising governments worldwide on digital programme development. His keynote will focus on turning IMI principles into operational advantage — bridging the critical gap between ambition and execution that so many in the industry still face.
