nima Autumn Virtual Conference 2024 and the Information Management Initiative
The third nima Virtual Conference on 7 November 2024 will be focused on discussion of a refreshed UK approach to information management for the built and managed environment: the ‘Information Management Initiative’ (IMI).
This latest virtual event will again be held in nima’s immersive conference environment, where the audience, speakers and exhibitors interact through a series of virtual spaces for presentations, demonstrations and networking.
The ‘Information Management Initiative’ (IMI)
New for Autumn 2024 is the thread running through all the conference content from the main stage to the networking rooms – a new approach to information management. Throughout 2024, with the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), nima has been supporting the development of the ‘Information Management Initiative’ (IMI). This will supersede the information management mandate in the Transforming Infrastructure Performance Roadmap to 2030. It also responds to a key recommendation of the CLC’s Creating a Productive environment for UK Construction (September 2023) to stimulate innovation and digital transformation. The nima-led CLC task group is aiming to ensure this new development is relevant across the whole of the built and managed environment, both now and for the future, and make the message less ambiguous, more achievable and beneficial for everyone.
Effective management of trusted, quality information across the whole-life of built and managed assets is a key foundation for growth, supporting a safe, healthy and sustainable environment where people, businesses and civil society can thrive. With this in mind, the CLC is partnering with nima for this next, unmissable Virtual Conference.
Autumn Virtual Conference 2024
The Autumn Virtual Conference 2024 will be the launch of the Information Management Initiative. With live keynote talks and panel discussions from industry leaders, it will continue nima’s work in engaging with practitioners and key decision-makers across government and industry to drive best practice and promote data-driven decisions to bring better outcomes.
The event aims to bring the information management community together in one virtual space, share the ambitions of the IMI, explain its benefits, and set future actions – all in an environment where everyone can ask questions and start discussions.
nima Chair Dr Anne Kemp OBE said: “This is your opportunity to strengthen your information management strategy as we share critical learning and key insights from the new Information Management Initiative. Join us for a day of collaboration and discover how to maximise information management to your advantage.”
This latest event will also feature:
- “Head 2 Head Industry Leader Insights” – sessions where two industry big hitters dive into exactly what impact the Information Management Initiative will have on the industry
- Virtual networking rooms – six online spaces, each with each with their own topic area for discussion, insight, predictions and real-world projects that will demonstrate the digital progression of the built and managed environment.
