Newly-branded IMI now supported by Autodesk
The first nima quarterly forum of 2025 highlighted the latest Information Management Initiative developments including a new IMI logo, and IMI sponsorship by technology provider Autodesk.
IMI update
In the forum, on 27 February 2025, nima chair Anne Kemp outlined developments relating to the IMI, including its promotion at recent events, the new branding, and the growing number of sponsors and signatories. She talked about planned March calls with the refreshed IMI Task Group and with the early IMI sponsors and signatories, and particularly welcomed the financial support of Autodesk – a long-standing patron of nima – as a founding sponsor.

nima news
The forum also provided an overview of nima changes in 2024, a look across the nima network (ambassadors, practitioner groups, affiliated organisations), thanks to numerous nima volunteers, and an update on nima communications and events:
- page views of the nima website grew 33% year on year during 2024
- nima now has over 10,000 followers on LinkedIn
- nima’s e-newsletter (sign-up) now reaches over 4,700 people, and
- the UK BIM Framework AI video campaign boosted overall traffic to the Framework site by around 10% (see 21 February news)
Over 250 people registered for the forum; 153 attendees joined the live session, and there were frequent opportunities to seek answers to questions. A recording of the event, plus the event presentation slides, is being shared with all registrants. Attendees will also be invited to complete a brief post-event feedback survey.
The February forum finished with a personal appeal from Anne for people to support her forthcoming charity fundraising walk for Alzheimer’s Society. In memory of her mother who died in July 2024, Anne is backpacking 1220 miles over 100 days from Cornwall to the northernmost tip of Scotland (support Anne).
