Become an IMI founding sponsor
Many organisations already recognise the environmental, social and business benefits and competitive advantages to be gained from adoption of information and data management best practices.
To support the Information Management Initiative (IMI) and to help extend awareness, interest and adoption of the IMI, the CLC is seeking founding sponsors from across the sector (clients, funders, contractors, consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, regulators, etc).
IMI founding sponsors will be the initial champions of the IMI, helping to steer the initiative, fund its initial dissemination, and build its supporting framework. They will be recognised by the IMI and across the sector as industry leaders backing digital transformation, will be able to badge themselves as IMI founding sponsors, and will be promoted at events and in IMI supporting materials.
Founding sponsors will also lead by example, mandating the IMI to their own people, achieving compliance with its principles, and promoting it to other organisations with whom they collaborate.
Founding sponsor – first step
As a first step, founding sponsors will – at a C-suite level – be expected to:
- Commit, appropriately and proportionately to the best of their ability, to enabling and supporting the principle of digitally transforming the whole of the built and managed environment by better through-life management of its data and information.
- Regard the aims of optimising value, health and safety, productivity, social, economic and environmental benefit across the built and managed environment as the key outcomes for embracing the IMI.
- Move to understand why it is important to know:
- The purpose of the data and information.
- What data and information are needed.
- Where to store the data and information.
- How the data and information is shared and used.
- Who has access to the data and information.
- How the data and information are maintained.
- Contribute to the IMI financially and/or provide appropriate resource (to be discussed with the IMI management team)
