Hear nima at Digital Construction Week
The speaker programme for Digital Construction Week 2026 is now officially live, with over 230 sessions across the two days (3-4 June) at Excel London. Nima will be at the show (stand D765) having helped to curate the presentation programmes across the Information Management Stage and the Information Management Exchange, and there are three nima-led sessions on each of the days.
DCW Day One nima keynote
The Day One programme on the Information Management Stage starts at 10am BST with a keynote from nima chair Dr Anne Kemp OBE. As part of her overview of practical information management she will be setting the scene for other nima talks, including ones dedicated to the Information Management Initiative (IMI), led by nima and supported by the Construction Leadership Council.
Also on Day One (3 June):
- IM Exchange (14:00-14:30pm BST) – Stuart Bell (CEO of Amodal) will be talking about nima: the home of information management – be a part of a bigger voice. This session will highlight the need for an active and engaged community with a clear mission and message that can coordinate and connect IM-related discussions and activities across the sector.
- IM Stage (15:00-15:30pm BST) – Paul Woddy (CEO of Whitefrog and a vice chair of nima) will ask: How do we ensure that information management education is fit-for-purpose? In a sector facing acute skills shortages, it is vital that we work with educators from schools to universities, from training providers to in-house HR teams, and include professional institutions and technology providers in creating the IM-competent workforce that the future industry will need.
Day Two (4 June) nima highlights
- IM Stage (10:00-10:30am BST) – Kevin Reeves, a member of the IMI advisory board, will be speaking about The why, what and how of information management: bringing the IM Initiative to life. Learn how organisations can direct their IM activities to achieve some quick wins, satisfy both business and project outcomes, and equip themselves to work in a sector increasingly embracing industrialised construction.
- IM Exchange (12:30-13:00pm BST) – Industry IM veteran Neill Pawsey will lead a panel discussion on information management: From words to action: why organisations must step up now. “Doing what we’ve always done means we’ll get what we always got” – organisations must embrace change and the opportunities created by new IM skills and new technologies such as AI.
- IM Stage (15:00-15:30pm BST) – Nima and buildingSMART UK and Ireland vice chair Emma Hooper will be talking about Information Management Initiative projects – joining the dots to unite the built environment. The IMI is not just about change management across organisations, it is a catalyst for devising new common and consistent approaches to information management that will help industry become more efficient, productive and connected across the lifecycle of built and managed assets.
During May 2026, ahead of DCW, the various nima presenters will be discussing their proposed content in a series of blog posts to be published on the nima website. Watch this space for further details.
