Water asset information strategy
Attention: all water company asset managers – is your asset management strategy working effectively enough to meet the new AMP8 requirements?
BIM4Water, in conjunction with Autodesk, is holding a free Asset Information Strategy event on 30 September in Birmingham. The overall theme covers the development and implementation of an Asset Information Management Strategy (AIMS) for a water company and considers the recent requirements of Ofwat for AMP8. The focus will be on what are the key components of such a strategy, its benefits, and its implementation. We want to take learnings from other industries, the expertise in the water supply chain and consultants, and also how AIMS fits with Ofwat’s Asset Health project.
The objectives of this event are to:
- Outline the current context – the perspective of Ofwat on the AMP8 Asset Information Strategy requirements
- Provide details of relevant standards and how they can help support asset information
- Run panel sessions outlining the Asset Information Strategy perspectives, good practice and lessons learnt from water utilities, the supply chain and outside of the water sector.
- Run a workshop to agree the foundation aspects of an Asset Management Information Strategy (AIMS), what has been done, what are the gaps, and how can BIM4Water assist the sector.
A wide range of speakers will include representatives of Ofwat, water companies, academia and other utility
sectors. The number of attendees will be limited so please register.
