GeoIM for infrastructure

Join 1Spatial for their “Smarter Data, Smarter World” tour event, featuring a special focus on
Geospatial Information Management (GeoIM) for Infrastructure, on 4 December 2024.

This conference will explore information management for transforming infrastructure
performance across transport, energy, water, flood risk management and digital
communications. It will highlight the importance of Geospatial Information Management
(GeoIM) across the infrastructure lifecycle.

Key topics include the role of data integration and quality in making information management
for infrastructure smarter. These enhance efficiency and optimise infrastructure used to meet
national policy goals like Net Zero and economic levelling up. Information Management
including geospatial, plays a pivotal role in enabling infrastructure operations and digital
transformation.

The conference will discuss the UK Government’s “Transforming Infrastructure Performance
Information Management Initiative.”

The agenda features presentations on approaches to information (including geospatial)
management, the Environment Agency’s information management platform, Shell’s
standardisation of survey deliverables, and Carter Jonas’s use of GIS in infrastructure
projects. It will also cover strategic asset management with GIS and BIM, intelligent
geospatial workflows in construction, and innovative methods for renewable energy site
selection.
