BSI update on revisions to ISO 19650
With input from nima, BSI is hosting a lunchtime webinar (12.30-1.30pm) on Tuesday 24 February 2026 to discuss proposed revisions to ISO 19650-1, ISO 19650-2 and ISO 19650-3.
These international standards, providing guidance on information management using building information modelling (BIM), have been undergoing a detailed review, and drafts of the revised guidance will be issued for public consultation soon after the webinar.
The webinar will be led by BSI Built Environment Sector Lead Dan Rossiter, and feature inputs from Anne Kemp, chair of nima and convenor of the International Standards Organisation committee for the 19650 series, plus standard authors David Churcher and Paul Shillcock.
The webinar will include:
- the role of ISO 19650 in the UK’s approach to BIM
- key changes in ISO 19650 parts 1, 2 and 3, and the rationale behind these revisions
- how these updates might impact day-to-day work and decision-making
- practical insights to inform feedback on the draft standards, and
- chance to question the webinar speakers.
