Dan Hughes is a leading figure in the property sector, known for his work in digital transformation and risk mitigation. He is the founder of Alpha Property Insight, which helps the property sector embrace innovative thinking and digital transformation. Dan is also Co-Founder of Digital Property Risk, assisting property professionals in navigating increasing digital risks to buildings.
Previously, Dan held senior roles at top data organizations, including leading the Land and Property Sector strategy at Ordnance Survey and the global marketing function at IPD (part of MSCI). He also served as Director of Data and Information Products for RICS, where he led their PropTech transformation, making RICS a recognized global PropTech brand.
A recipient of numerous awards, including the EG ‘Bridging the Gap award’ and the UK PropTech Association Special Achievement award, Dan was also voted the number one PropTech Influencer in the UK. He founded the not-for-profit Real Estate Data Foundation (RED Foundation), dedicated to helping the sector benefit from data.
