The call for papers for the next buildingSMART International summit is open until 31 January 2026.
Early bird registration for delegates to attend the event, on 24-26 March 2026 in Porto, Portugal, closes on 2 February 2026
buildingSMART International Summits take place twice a year (in March/April and September/October), with this year’s first event co-hosted by buildingSMART’s Portugal Chapter in Porto, Portugal, on 24-26 March 2026.
Summits provide a meeting place for experienced openBIM advocates and newcomers alike, drawing architects, engineers, construction managers, project managers, BIM specialists, software vendors and developers, consultants, contractors, product manufacturers, governments, asset owners, policymakers, researchers, students, sustainability advocates and many other practitioners.
The call for papers for the March event invites presentations on one or more of the following areas:
