Consultation opens on proposed changes to ISO 19650 Parts 1 and 2
As the UK body responsible to inputs to international standards, BSI has published the drafts of ISO 19650 Parts 1 and 2 for UK public comment.
Proposed changes to ISO 19650 Parts 1-3 were outlined in a joint BSI/nima webinar on Tuesday 24 February (see nima news). Part 3 is expected to be available for public comment around the start of June 2026.
To access the drafts, displayed in an BSI’s online environment, users will need to register/log-in.
Comments are required by 3 May 2026.
On 24 February, nima chair Anne Kemp urged people to make constructive comments and suggestions, and to note what they like as well as things they don’t like:
“What we need are constructive comments, which must include alternative proposals. If there are things that you’re troubled by, that you don’t like, say so, but then tell us very clearly what you would like to see instead. Please, if you like what you’re seeing, indicate that you like it, because otherwise all that we’re responding to are the negatives – and that would be unfortunate, because the negative comments may actually be a minority view.”
