Case Study – Anglian Water – Semer WTW Treatment and Resilience Commissioning

This Anglian Water £6m project includes the construction of a newly drilled Borehole (BH) for a new Water Treatment Works (WTW) allowing an existing BH to be taken offline for rehabilitation. The project was developed with the use of 3D modelling which was progressed into developing a solution for running the project in 4D Synchro. The detailed commissioning plan and P6 programme formed the foundation to fully rehearse the commissioning stage. The WTW was successfully delivered into supply removing a major business risk associated with a very old WTW an unreliable borehole source. The drive to change the way projects have been delivered in the past by collaboration with the supply chain and the use of 4D modelling provided greater visibility when fully rehearsing every aspect of the project and enabled efficiency benefits.
