BIM4Water discusses asset data standardisation
BIM4Water held a successful event, led by its Asset Data Standards (ADS) group, working in partnership with Water Services Association of Australia, to examine how water sector owner operators implement robust information strategies for enhanced asset management.
The objectives of this meeting were to:
- Outline the current context – the perspective of Ofwat on the AMP8 Asset Information Strategy requirements
- Detail relevant standards and how they can help support asset data standardisation.
- Provide panel sessions outlining the Asset Information Strategy perspectives, good practice and lessons learnt from outside the water sector, consultants and water utilities.
- Undertake a workshop to agree the foundational aspects of Asset Information Strategy development, what has been done and what are the gaps that should be addressed by the BIM4Water ADS and Owner Operator groups.
